On June 21, 2025, Equinox Guiding Service assisted in a climber rescue at Barrett’s Cove in Camden. Working alongside Coastal Mountain Search and Rescue and local first responders, our guides drew on their AMGA‑based training to help bring the situation to a safe outcome. This event highlights why preparedness, professionalism, and community partnership are at the core of what we do.

This summer, Equinox Guiding Service made history by hosting the first ever AMGA Rock Guide Course in Camden, Maine. Over 10 days, four of our instructors trained under world‑class IFMGA guides Paul Koubek and Paul Rachele, gaining advanced skills in technical systems, risk management, and client care. As the only AMGA‑accredited service in Midcoast Maine, we’re proud to set a new standard for professionalism and guiding in the region.

Camden, ME — Equinox Guiding Service is proud to announce a national first: a group of high school students from the Mid-Coast School of Technology (MCST) has completed professional training toward their AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) certification—the gold standard in climbing instruction.
