Climbing Programs for Women and Non-Binary Folk in Camden, Maine

Empowerment Through Climbing. Connection Through Community.

At Equinox Guiding Service, we believe climbing should be fun, accessible, supportive, and promote inclusivity. We want to create a welcoming and inclusive space for women, LGTBQIA+, and non-binary folk to deepen their connection to the outdoors. Our women-led programming is built by climbers, for all types of climbers - (new climbers welcome!) - with a focus on community, inclusivity, confidence, and growth.

What We Offer

Our women and non-binary programs are open to all levels—whether you're new to climbing or looking to transition from gym to crag. Programs include:

  • Half-day and full-day outdoor climbing trips

  • Gym-to-crag transition clinics

  • Intro to trad & sport climbing days

  • Community events and meetups

  • Skill-building clinics with AMGA-certified guides

  • Anchor building clinics

  • Led by our experienced and inclusive-oriented guides, these programs are designed to create a safety-oriented, comfortable, and empowering learning environment.

Why Women, LGBTQIA+, and Non-Binary Climbing?

We strive to create a nurturing space for folks of marginalized groups to connect and push their limits. The goals of these programs are to:

  • Feel empowered through skill building and community

  • Ask questions and learn in a supportive environment

  • Develop leadership and confidence

  • Add diversity to more outdoor spaces and create new connections with like-minded folk

Our guides love sharing their outdoor leadership skills, so that it can continue to be passed along for all to learn and share.
